ReEntry Programs help ex-offenders and felons on probation get jobs, find housing and network with others who may be in a similar situation. Some Re-entry programs may also be associated with religious and spiritual organizations.
A reentry program may be run by a state government, a local nonprofit or even for profit entity and they vary widely in the assistance they can provide.
List of Alaska ReEntry Programs
Alaska Department of Corrections
Prisoner Rehabilitative and Reentry Services increase public safety through the reduction of criminal recidivism. We provide evidence-based reformative programs designed to cultivate an individual’s successful community integration.
Alaska Native Justice Center
The Alaska Native Justice Center (ANJC) was established in 1993 by CIRI as a tribal non-profit to address Alaska Natives’ unmet needs regarding the Alaska civil and criminal justice system in response to the increasing disproportionate rates of victimization, incarceration and other justice-related issues impacting Alaska Natives throughout Alaska.
ANJC’s Mission is to promote justice through culturally based advocacy, prevention and intervention initiatives to restore dignity, respect and humanity to all Alaska Natives.
No Limit Incorporated
The mission is to provide resettlement services to the marginalized and disadvantaged for successful transition from dependence on society to independence with the support and resources they need to transform their lives.
No Limits Inc’s target population is men and women who have recently been released from the jurisdiction of Alaska’s Criminal Justice System and who have a history of chemical dependence that has repeatedly impeded their ability to create a stable living situation for themselves and, often, for their families.
Partners For Progress
The Center is in downtown Anchorage at 419 Barrow Street across from the fire station between 4th and 5th Ave.
At the Center we provide comprehensive reentry support including employment services, transitional housing assistance, counseling and mentoring.
